Like every bride-to-be, I want to feel better than ever leading up to my wedding. Not just for the day of, but for the rehearsal dinner, my bridal shower, bachelorette trip, etc. There’s nothing better than feeling your best. Some of these products I have used for years and some I’ve added to my routine more recently to make sure I look and feel my best before the big day.
For skincare I try to switch it up based on what I feel like my skin needs that day. I have super sensitive combination skin. Like one day I’m dry, the next I’m oily. Certain products actually give my skin an allergic reaction and I end up with itchy red spots – it’s crazy! One of my big focuses the past six months or so has been growing out/ strengthening my hair. I’ve never worn extensions and don’t plan on wearing them for my wedding because I want to be completely comfortable that day. BUT I also want my hair to look full and long. My absolute favorite product that I have noticed a huge difference from is Vital Protiens Collagen Peptides. You probably see it all over Instagram, but this stuff seriously works. I stir a scoop into my black coffee every single morning. Collagen is great for so many things, but my hair and my skin are where I’ve noticed the biggest difference.
Another thing that has really helped my hair grow is waiting as long as possible before washing my hair and using dry shampoo in-between washes. The less you wash, the less often you’re stripping your hair of its natural oils. I also protect my hair whenever I’m styling it. I spray Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray all over my hair before blow drying and apply Moroccan Oil on the ends of my hair before styling with my curling iron or straightener. My favorite curling wand is the NuMe Lustrum because I can change out what size barrel I want to use without having an entire different curling iron. Also, Jeremy bought me a new CHI G2 straightener for Christmas and I am obsessed with it. It literally takes me half the time it usually does with this flat iron which makes me feel like I’m using less heat on my hair overall.
I obviously plan on smiling for the camera on my wedding day and this is my absolute favorite.
