Music and writing songs has been a huge part of my life for nearly a decade now. I started traveling to Nashville to pursue a career as a singer/ songwriter back in 2009. I have such a passion for writing and for creating things, hence why I started this blog. I’ve really enjoyed vlogging lately too and creating videos! There’s something about the whole process of having an idea, filming, editing, etc. that’s so much fun to me.
I play a few songwriter’s festivals every year and one of my favorites is the Third Street Songwriter’s Festival in Baton Rouge. My hometown is basically right around the corner. It’s nice for me to go down to visit my family and friends AND play shows! Plus, it feels so good to look out into the crowd and see all the familiar faces.
My first show of the weekend was the Rock n Rowe at Perkins Rowe. I love playing outdoor shows whenever the weather is that beautiful! Friday I made an early morning TV appearance with Channel 33 and Friday night played the festival kickoff show at The Red Dragon. I started Saturday with a brunch event at Stroube’s. I mean, who doesn’t love mimosas? That afternoon I played at Lava Cantina to finish out my shows for the festival!
